How it works

From release week to last booking

  1. 01

    Choose the week

The release planner scores each week by competing releases, seasonality, holidays and the same weeks in earlier years.

  2. 02

    Set target cinemas

Add cinemas from suggestions or a template, each with a status, an owner and a date for the next contact.

  3. 03

    Work the call plan

Call one cinema at a time, record the outcome and set a call-back date. Every call lands in the cinema's contact history.

  4. 04

    Book and follow

Create draft bookings for many cinemas at once. Targets switch to booked by themselves, and the run is tracked week by week.

FAQ

Questions about release planning

How are the suggested cinemas chosen?

From ticket sales of similar films in each cinema and from your own results. Draft bookings are created only when you confirm them.

Can I reuse a plan for the next film?

Yes. Save the target cinemas of one film as a template and start the plan of another film from it.

Can a manager approve the plan first?

Yes, if you switch approval on. The booker sends the plan, and a manager approves it or returns it with a comment.

How does DISTmio help with holdovers?

The holdover page lists bookings ending soon with a recommendation: extend, extend with fewer shows or end. One window sets the new end date, orders new KDMs for every screen and mails the cinema.
