How it works

From invitation to results

  1. 01

    Invite the cinema

Send an invitation from the cinema card, and the cinema gets its own login.

  2. 02

    Confirm the bookings

The cinema sees its bookings from every distributor that invited it, and confirms them one by one or several at once.

  3. 03

    Prepare the screening

The cinema downloads KDM keys and film materials, uploads server certificates and keeps its list of screens and servers current.

  4. 04

    Send the results

The cinema enters admissions and box office day by day, or uploads its own report. Statements go into your settlement queue.

Holdovers

Holdovers agreed without a phone call

Offer another week straight from your holdover board, and the cinema answers in the portal.

  • Accept or decline, with a note for you
  • Every answer saved on the booking
  • Cinemas see where they played fewer shows than agreed

Keys, certificates and results

Keys go out, certificates and results come in

  • Keys from your lab or from DISTmio, side by side
  • Server details read from the certificate
  • Reports matched to the film and the cinema

Questions

Common questions about the portal

Does the cinema pay for its portal account?

No. The portal account is free for the cinema. You invite people from the cinema card and can withdraw their access at any time.

Can one cinema work with several distributors?

Yes. A cinema sees its bookings from every distributor that invited it in one place. Server certificates and screen details are entered once and serve all of them.

What can a cinema see?

Only its own bookings, offers and documents. In a complaint about a settlement or invoice it sees your replies and files, never your internal notes.

What if a cinema is not in the portal yet?

It can ask for access on the portal's login page, or you invite it from the cinema card. Until then, it answers through the personal links in your e-mails.
