Local rules

What a French distributor needs

Bordereau line by line

Each French cinema is settled week by week with the bordereau fields: receipts, TSA, net base, then your rate or MG ou forfait.

Legal rental rates

DISTmio warns when a rate falls outside the legal range of 25 to 50%, and applies the minimum rent per admission you set.

Wednesday cinema week

Releases, play weeks and late bordereaux follow the Wednesday-to-Tuesday week. Relâche weeks are kept as not played, never as zero.

CNC identifiers

Cinemas carry their CNC authorisation number, films their CNC visa and RCA number, and your company its CNC distributor code.

French settlement

Settled the way the bordereau reads

DISTmio follows the CNC bordereau week by week, from receipts and TSA to your rate or MG ou forfait. Several titles on one bordereau, ticket categories and unlimited cards are all handled.

  • MG per week when your contracts use it
  • Sacem recovery and overseas rates per cinema
  • Late bordereaux listed per cinema

CNC and producers

CNC support and producer statements

DISTmio keeps your CNC automatic support ledger: box office by month, TSA, credits with their four-year reinvestment date and the 50% or 70% aid intensity. Producer statements follow the 2017 agreement and are shared in the producer portal.

  • CNC support ledger with reinvestment deadlines
  • Producer statement in the 2017 agreement format

Invoicing and accounting

Chorus Pro, Factur-X and FEC

Invoices to public payers go to Chorus Pro, and every invoice is also available as Factur-X. VAT on rent follows payments or invoices, as you choose, and your accountant gets a FEC file each period.

Questions

France: common questions

What does DISTmio prepare for e-invoicing?

DISTmio writes Factur-X invoices and e-reporting files, sends invoices to public payers through Chorus Pro and shows which payers still lack a SIREN or SIRET.

Can French cinemas use our ordinary terms instead?

Yes. You choose whether French cinemas are settled with the bordereau fields or with your ordinary terms.

Can producers see their statements online?

Yes. An issued producer statement is frozen and shown in the producer portal through a private link. You decide what is visible and can revoke access at any time.
